HOLLA! I'm finally back to blog about my BKK trip!
So last month (24 Jan, SAT - 27 Jan, TUES), my family and I went to BKK for a short vacation and it was a really impromptu decision hahaha. We booked our flights and hotel through a travel agent only one week before we fly off!
The hotel that we stayed is :
Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel Bangkok
It is so beautiful and awesome! We read a lot of good reviews about this hotel on the internet previously and we are really satisfied with our choice. It is strategically located at Pratunam area and it is just a walking distance to shopping malls like Platinum Fashion Mall and Centralworld. There's 7-11 and also a row of massage parlours just outside our hotel. Free WIFI access and gym facilities are also available here.
This hotel is also well known for their pretty and relaxing dining area and resting area! Will share more pics of the pretty view in the next post hehe. On a side note, this hotel doesn't have a swimming pool. However, I don't think swimming pool is that essential anyway as most of us would rather spend our time to shop and eat in BKK hahaha
My parents shared a room while my sisters and I shared a suite! By the time we reached and checked-in our hotel, it's already late afternoon. We settled down and rest for a while before we head out!
Here's the bedroom side of our suite!
Our suite is really big and comfortable. Really love the interior and the 'clean look'!
Ahhh it's such a pity that I didn't manage to take more pics of the suite
Our awesome hotel view! SAWADEEKA BKK
We headed out in the late evening and we took a cab to Chinatown.
There's a lot of seafood restaurants, shark's fins and bird's nest shops and local product shops in Chinatown.
Once we reached there, we started searching for the most famous seafood restaurant in Chinatown for our dinner!
T&K SEA FOOD
49-51 Soi Phadung Dao, Yaowaraj Road, Chinatown
Operating hours : 4.30 pm - 2.00 am
The crowd at T&K SEA FOOD is seriously NO JOKE. A queue number will be given and we can browse the menu and order our food first when we are queuing. We waited for around 30 mins till our turn to be seated.
YUMS YUMS IN OUR TUMS! All the food that we ordered is seriously yummy and worth waiting for hahahha
Passed by a shopping mall which is named HaHa when we are on the way to our next destination hahahha COOL
After our dinner at Chinatown, we took a cab to Talad Rot Fai Night Market which is also known as the Train Night Market. It is located after the parking of Seacon Square. This photo above marks the entrance of the market!
Talad Rot Fai
Soi 51, Srinakarin Road
The best time to go there is during weekends from 7pm onwards
It is BKK's most famous vintage night market which sells tons of antique, vintage and retro stuff. There's a lot of vintage and retro restaurants, bars and bistros over there too and I swear all of them are so COOL and creatively designed. You can see that a lot of Thai youngsters and hipsters love to hang out there till late midnight! Besides that, there's also a lot of local designer brands and shops over there. Thai people are always so creative!
Spotted a cool vintage bistro outside! So many youngsters hanging out there haha
Pretty pretty cactuses which are really cheap!
Passed by a pet shop and saw the sleeping puppies.. AWW
SUPER ADORABLE POM owned by a clothing shop owner!
Thai people really love to rear puppies and all of them are so CUTE and ADORABLE!! You can see that most of the shop owners there or the locals hanging out there would carry along their puppies. Ahhh didn't get to snap much photos there becz we were busy shopping hahaha. Overall, Talad Rot Fat Night Market is a really nice place to shop and chill!!
Alright, that's all for DAY 1! Stay tuned for the rest! :-)
Fantastic post.
